BIG NEWS! You can now buy one of my favorite diabetes products through your FSA benefits!
First, what’s an FSA?
An FSA (or flexible spending account) is an employer-sponsored healthcare benefit that allows employees to set aside up to $2,700 (2019) annually to cover the cost of qualified medical expenses. It’s a lot like a savings account but used for qualified health-related costs. FSAs work on an annual plan year basis and are funded through regular payroll deductions on a pre-tax basis. Next, what’s MedAngel ONE Wireless Thermometer?
In March 2018, I began using the MedAngel sensor to help me avoid spoiled insulin. It is a small, portable temperature sensor that alerts your phone via Bluetooth if your medication (in my case insulin) reaches unsafe temperatures. Insulin is very sensitive to temperature changes and MedAngel helps you avoid a scary situation and offers peace of mind.
How to use it?
There are so many uses for the MedAngel. I share about how it helps my insulin from spoiling but there are so many other medications that must stay within a certain temp to be effective. (Insulin, biologics, multiple sclerosis-medications, hormones, pen injectors and many more.) After app setup, simply keep your MedAngel next to your medications. Do you keep your insulin in the fridge? Put a MedAngel next to it. Do you carry your medication in your purse? Pop a MedAngel in there. Wherever you keep your temperature sensitive medications, a MedAngel next to it will give you temperature readings and alert you if it has reached unsafe temps. No need to clip it on to your insulin vial/pen, as long as the MedAngel is next to your medication, it will know the surrounding temps.
Where to get it?
As I mentioned above, you can now buy the MedAngel ONE Wireless Thermometer with your FSA benefits! Visit FSAstore.com to buy online with your Flexible Spending Account.
Also you can always buy directly and save with promo code “GLITTER” but it’s the time of the year to use your benefits!
I hope you love this product as much as I do. When I meet people with diabetes, I immediately recommend the MedAngel Thermometer. It is a staple in my life and can help many people with medical conditions!
Until next time!
