First, what’s an FSA?

​An FSA (or flexible spending account) is an employer-sponsored healthcare benefit that allows employees to set aside up to $2,700 (2019) annually to cover the cost of qualified medical expenses. It is a small, portable temperature sensor that alerts your phone via Bluetooth if your medication (in my case insulin) reaches unsafe temperatures. Insulin is very sensitive to temperature changes and MedAngel helps you avoid a scary situation and offers peace of mind. 

How to use it?

​There are so many uses for the MedAngel. I share about how it helps my insulin from spoiling but there are so many other medications that must stay within a certain temp to be effective. (Insulin, biologics, multiple sclerosis-medications, hormones, pen injectors and many more.) After app setup, simply keep your MedAngel next to your medications. Do you keep your insulin in the fridge? Put a MedAngel next to it. Do you carry your medication in your purse? Pop a MedAngel in there. Wherever you keep your temperature sensitive medications, a MedAngel next to it will give you temperature readings and alert you if it has reached unsafe temps. No need to clip it on to your insulin vial/pen, as long as the MedAngel is next to your medication, it will know the surrounding temps.
